Some sippers like to add an ice cube, a dash of bitters, or a squeeze of a favorite citrus.

And some sippers love a lively cocktail that builds on its layers.

Salty Mule

1 and 1/2 ounces Vicio Mezcal

1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

2 ounce Dock Street Summer in Berlin (berliner weisse) or High Quality Ginger Beer

1 ounce simple syrup

pinch of salt

Serve in a highball over ice.

 

Salt & Smoke

1 and 1/2 ounce Vicio Mezcal

1/2 ounce fresh, strong ginger simply syrup

1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice

1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

heavy splash of club soda

pinch of sea salt

3 dashes of citrus bitters like Hella Bitters

Combine Vicio, ginger syrup, lemon, lime and salt in a mixing glass and stir. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Top with club and bitters.

 

The Enamorado

1 and 1/2 ounces Vicio Mezcal

3/4 ounce Aperol

1/2 ounce Salers

4 drops Aphrodite bitters

Stir with ice until chilled, strain into rocks glass with large cube of ice. Garnish with lemon peel.

Vicio Negroni

1 ounce Vicio Mezcal

1 ounce Campari

1 ounce Lofi sweet vermouth

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice. Strain into rocks glass with one large ice cube. Garnish with lemon peel.

 

Smoke the Paloma

2 ounce Vicio Mezcal

1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice

1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

2 oz ounce seltzer

dash of worm salt or tajin

Place ice cubes in a highball glass. Add mezcal, grapefruit and lime juice, then top with seltzer.
